So, you’ve broken out the artificial tree for Christmas. Unfortunately, it’s a tad dusty from being in storage for a year. So, you want to find out how to clean an artificial Christmas Tree? It’s actually quite simple. There are two ways you can do it.
Let’s take a look at each below.
Method #1
Remove the tree from the box or storage container and assemble the base. Spread each piece out so that once you’re done cleaning it, it can go right on the tree.
You then take the upholstery bristle brush to clean the dirt off the branches without hurting them. You can also use a hand vacuum.
Once done, fill a bucket with warm water mixed with dish soap and clean the bristles. Wring it well after each wipedown. Once done, allow the tree to dry before you plug in any lights.
Method #2
Remove your decorations and anything else that may be on the tree. Make sure it won’t fall over as you are working on it as well. Use a dust cloth or a vacuum to gently clean the tree.
Cleaning it before you put it away for next year will make cleaning easier the next time you use it. Place the tree in a sheet to protect it from dust while it is being stored. You can also place it in sections inside of garbage bags.
