I used to love coloring in. Sometimes when I’m bored, you can still catch my doodling away on a piece of paper nearby. That’s what makes Christmas tree coloring pages so great. They help pass the time for kids, especially during those cold and snowy Christmas season days.
What’s great is the fact that it’s not hard at all to get your hands on these coloring pages. If you have a printer at home or you’re willing to go to your local print shot, you can download free coloring pages and print them out.
Alternatively, you can buy coloring page sets on Amazon for around the $5-$10 range.
Free printables vs coloring books from Amazon
Both of these options are great. However, each one comes with a few pros and cons.
If you want to save some money, you can download a few free printables and print them out yourself. The issue with this is that it will cost you a lot of extra time in finding the coloring pages and especially more time if you want to print a lot of them. If you only want to get your kid one or two printables, this is good.
That’s where the paid Christmas coloring books come in. The obvious downside to this is that you have to pay for it. However, it does not really cost a lot and you get a ton of benefits with it.
- The designs are much more detailed, challenging and interesting
- You can get a whole book full of designs that you don’t have to print out yourself and keep track of
- You don’t have to print out anything yourself, it gets delivered at your door.
Where to find free Christmas coloring pages?
There are lots of sites offering free coloring designs. All you need to do is download the design and print it out. Here are some sites I found:
Additional ideas
These coloring pages are great at keeping your kids busy and helping them be creative. However, you can also get creative with them. Why not use them to make Christmas decorations or Xmas cards?
The idea I have is to ask your kids to help you color in a few pages. Cut them out and glue them to a solid surface like cardboard. Cut the cardboard out shaped like the drawing and then hang them on your tree.
For the card, you can purchase a blank card and simply glue the colored in Christmas tree on the front. If you send these to grandma and grandpa, I’m sure they’ll love it!
In closing
These coloring pages are a great way to pass them. If you enjoy drawing, you might even join your kids in the fun. It seems like the Christmas tree from how the Grinch stole Christmas coloring page is also very popular. Be sure to check that out and happy drawing!
