The market opens around mid-November and runs till just before Christmas as the whole area transforms into a shining winter wonderland.

Woodstock, Vermont
Vermont is probably the best place in the US to spend your Christmas holidays. The town’s ground is usually covered with a slight dusting of snow and you can smell the fragrance of pine needles in the wind.
In Woodstock, which is a historical town, the city does the holiday quite well with a pre-Xmas festival known as the Wassail Weekend which has Norse cultural traditions from the 19th century.
The festival includes a parade that features more than 50 riders and horses wearing holiday costumes, along with sleigh rides and wagons, as well as a traditional celebration held at the Billings Farm and Museum.
Visitors will be treated to a Wassail Feast and most of the local shops remain open even at late hours throughout the entire festival.
Strasbourg, France
The town of Strasbourg in France offers a variety of villages that have been specially decorated for the holiday season which makes the entire city into an amazing wonderland of Christmas holiday sights and gastronomical delights.
